Estimator Manufacturing-Concrete Precast and Structural Steel

Family-Owned and Operated Business Specialising in Civil Services and Resource Operations. Require a Estimator responsible for the preparations of estimates and proposals for the supply and manufacture of precast concrete products, structural steel and other elated solutions for the Building, Construction and Civil Contracting industries. Extensive Knowledge in Precast Concrete Manufacturing and, or Structural Steel Fabrication and Construction. Experienced in Design and Drafting with ability to produce shop drawings. Must have relevant Experience Estimating and Project experience within building and construction or relevant manufacturing industry.

Essential Knowledge:

• Estimating, Quantity Surveying skills, Construction industry experience including standards and practices. Fluency in estimating, technical writing, acquiring collating and assessing subcontract tender prices and MS Office software.
• Reading and interpreting architectural and engineering construction plans and specifications.

Skills & Duties Required:

• Sound understanding of all Microsoft software, understanding of and ability to develop skills in estimating packages.
• Comprehensive skills, knowledge and experience in negotiating within the contractual environment
• Prepares work to be estimated by assessing tender opportunities, drawings, specifications, and related documents.
• Identifies labour, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, contract documents, drawings, specifications, and related documents.
• Computes costs by analysing labour, material, and time requirements.
• Monitor and report on costs, planning and design development
• Provide and produce accurate job costing information and data on wining tenders issued for manufacturing
• Fulfil legislative duties and responsibilities as identified in the Act and ensure all responsible parties are clear and understanding of all requirements.
