About the role

Scania builds some of the finest trucks, buses and engines in the world. Our Workshop team deliver value, reliability and high uptime - giving our customers an excellent return on their investment.   

Right First Time, On Time!  With a focus on safety and quality, you will manage a great team to deliver results with maximum efficiency. To achieve this, your responsibilities will include the following.

  • Foster, promote and maintain OHS, ensuring safe work practices at all time
  • Lead, motivate, train and develop a team of Technicians
  • Ensure a culture of service and performance excellence
  • Monitor technician time keeping and productivity
  • Ensure that customer requirements and expectations are met

About you

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced team leader who is solution orientated, motivated and pro-active, with a passion for ensuring your team achieves their targets in safety, quality and efficiency.

Additionally you will have the following:

  • Relevant technical qualifications and proven experience in the repair and maintenance of vehicles
  • Previous experience in the heavy vehicle or related industry
  • Proven organisational skills and administrative skills
  • Effective people management, problem solving, negotiation and influencing skills
  • General computer skills
