Group Management Accountant

We are pleased to offer a full-time role as the Group Management Accountant for The Old Woolstore Apartment Hotel and Hadley's Orient Hotel.  These two hotels share the same owners and operators, are uniquely Tasmanian and have been recognised widely as successful and community oriented.

The successful applicant will be an experienced management accountant with an appropriate tertiary qualification and current membership of a relevant professional association.  You must be capable of producing timely and accurate monthly management accounts and managing a small finance team.  Experience in hospitality would be well regarded but it is not essential.  We are seeking an adaptable accountant who has pride in their work and a keen eye for detail. We require flexibility and demonstrable skills, abilities and understanding in the following areas:

• MYOB and Xero;
• payroll;
• oversight of debtors;
• payment of creditors;
• on-line banking;
• capital expenditure management;
• cash flow modelling and analysis;
• preparation of monthly management accounts;
• budget reconciliation and reporting;
• financial analysis and operational reporting;
• preparing and submitting monthly ATO IAS returns
• oversee monthly SRO payroll tax returns;
• time management;
• teamwork;
• strong verbal and written communication; and
• working effectively with multiple departments to achieve shared objectives.

Ideally the successful applicant will be familiar with contemporary responsibilities in the areas of Workplace Health & Safety and Emergency Control Organisation.
