Owing to ongoing growth in workload, Martens & Associates is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer (Project Technical Team Leader) to join our busy civil engineering group based in Hornsby, NSW.

It is essential for the applicants to have:
Civil Engineering degree recognised by Engineers Australia.
Demonstrated experience in civil engineering design including earthworks, roads, drainage systems, and flooding.
Previous experience in land development and subdivision projects in Australia, preferably NSW.
Permanent full-time Australian work rights (no temporary visa holders).
Good written and verbal communication, well-developed interpersonal and proficient report writing skills.
The ability to work in a culturally diverse and multi-disciplinary team environment.
Positive and proactive attitude and be motivated, team player, and eager to learn.
Strong time management and organisational skills.
Ability to lead multi-disciplinary projects effectively and deliver within time and budget.
Any of the following experiences and qualities will be considered favourable:
Hydraulic and hydrological models (DRAINS, HEC-RAS, RAFTS, etc.).
Drainage network design, modelling and ILSAX2 analysis using 12d Models DNE.
WSUD design and modelling using MUSIC and DRAINS.
Flood studies, remediation and management using TUFLOW, preferably via QGIS.
Road and earthworks design and modelling using 12d Model, preferably parts method.
Experience with consultancy practice management software (Total Synergy, eTrack, Deltek, etc.).
Familiar with CAD software (BricsCAD, AutoCAD, etc.).
NSW full driver licence.
The role includes technical leadership of design projects from project engagement (including supporting project managers to develop project schedule, budget and scope) to project delivery (including solution and concept design, leadership of design team to deliver complying and high-quality products within time and budget, reviewing models and documentations, and reporting project changes and deviations to the project manager). The projects may involve a wide range of engineering works including:
Property and development drainage assessment.
Development of site water quality, quantity, and drainage solutions.
Flood assessments, remediation, and management plans.
Civil engineering design of earthworks, roads, grading, etc.
Salary is negotiable on the basis of experience.
