Position will require you to undertake general welding Supervision and Inspection duties including but not limited to:
Verification of correctness of welding consumables
Verification that dimensions and weld preparations are in accordance with specifications.
Monitor and verify that preheating is in accordance with the specified procedure.
Assist with the preparation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITP’s)
Post-weld visual inspection: Visual inspection and dimensional checks
Prepare and assist in welding traceability documents
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of corporate and project specific documentation and review Manufacturers Data Reports (MDR)
Report on product and process non-conformance and product preservation
Assist with the calibration of inspection and testing equipment
Coordinate Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
Organise and assist with welding qualification verification
Understand the intent and function of the safety and quality management systems
Maintain company standards for Quality Assurance purposes
Provide accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports as required
Essential Qualifications
Trade Certification – Fabricator/Boilermaker/Welder or Welding SupervisorCompetencies
Experience in a similar role - minimum three (5) years in fabrication or manufacturing
Have strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to overcome challenges
Excellent written and verbal communicator
Computer literac
Ability to speak and read Chinese (Mandarin) (Desirable)
