The Lions Eye Institute (LEI) is a not-for-profit centre of excellence that combines world class scientific research into the prevention of blindness with the highest level of eye care delivery. It incorporates one of Australias largest ophthalmic practices, including a Day Surgery Unit and a Laser Vision Centre. About the role
An exciting career development opportunity exists for a Digital Marketing Coordinator within our Development and Communications team. This role will support a range of digital channels to enhance LEIs digital presence, brand awareness and drive effective engagement; monitoring performance and using data analysis to inform our future activities.
The position required full time hours (Monday to Friday) and will initially be engaged on a 12 month maximum term contract however, there is potential that the role may extend and/or become a permanent position in the future.
Reporting to the Communications Manager, key responsibilities will include:
Digital strategy and planning including the creation of content calendars
Planning and executing Google Ads campaigns
Development of creative content that engages, inspires and informs; ensuring consistency of voice, targeting and messaging
Website management including necessary optimisations and development that will improve online performance and user experience
Manage LEIs reputation on social media, Google and review websites
Initiating innovative organic and paid social media campaign techniques to increase engagement, lead generation and visibility
Creation and execution of email campaigns to increase engagement, build community and drive traffic
Ability to accurately report on campaigns and online activities; providing data interpretations, insights and recommendations to improve performance, conversions and re-marketing
Required Skills, knowledge & attributes
At LEI, cultural fit is just as important to us as qualifications, technical skill and experience. As such, candidates will be assessed against a broad range of technical and behavioural selection criteria including the following:
Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications and a minimum three years on-the-job experience in a similar role.
In depth understanding of social media channels including: Facebook Ads Manager, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn for Business, and YouTube.
Strong digital campaign management experience.
Experience using CMS Platforms and in particular confidence with Wordpress
Excellent knowledge of eDM platforms (Vision 6/mailchimp or equivalent)
Proven experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, and Google My Business.
Solid understanding of fundamental digital marketing concepts, for example SEO, content optimisation, SEM, marketing analytics, marketing automation, PPC advertising, and mobile marketing.
Knowledge of graphic design, video production and editing highly desirable.
A strong relationship focus and desire to work collaboratively within a team, maintain and develop internal relationships and actively participate in projects, events and team initiatives.
Strong organisation skills, complimented by great attention to detail.
