About Train Crewing and SupportOur Train Crewing and Support (TCS) team is at the frontline, delivering exceptional services and customer experiences across our large and complex network. Were currently in the process of a strategic transformation to prepare to meet future demand and exceed customer expectations.
The opportunityOver the next 40 years, Sydneys population is projected to swell to over 12 million residents and regional NSW will accommodate an extra 700,000 people. Here at Sydney Trains, were looking to bring on more trains, more drivers and more services to ensure that each of the 359 million customer journeys undertaken every year across our network runs smoothly and safely. To help us achieve this we have an exciting opportunity for two (2) Workforce Modellers to join our Train Crewing and Support Team.
These newly created positions will be pivotal in driving an innovative, agile, dynamic and resilient organisational culture. These critical positions will develop workforce scenario modelling and insights to inform long term strategic planning. The Workforce Modeller will develop and visualize key performance indicators relating to various potential scenarios and delivers reporting on key workforce metrics to enable improved insights and informed decision making on future strategy.
You will be involved in:
Develop, investigate and analyse scenario options for future strategies, completing modelling within a structured framework to defined lead times and standards
Utilise resource management software and scenario modelling tools to construct robust options analysis inclusive of key business considerations and impacts
Construction of optimized workforce modelling outputs and translate complex metrics into meaningful insights to inform strategic objectives and the prioritization of future initiatives.
In addition to demonstrating relevant experience working with complex data and competency working with planning and data visualisation tools, were looking for someone with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights. Much more than just a number cruncher and data analyst, were looking for a big-picture strategist who uses data to tell a story. Youll use advanced communication skills to inform and influence senior management to make evidence based strategic decisions.

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is RC5 $103,547 - $119,439 per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
