Lead a multi-disciplinary team in a dynamic environment, Lead the procurement of a range of works related activities & coordinate inputs, Provide management advice through high quality briefs, reports and submissions.

The successful applicant will oversee the development of project planning, performance, cost and schedule documents and work breakdown structures in accordance with agreed procedures and performance standards and delegations.

  • Identify risks and opportunities and take account of these in planning, decision making and priority setting associated with the ReefHQ critical safety capital works.
  • Analyse project performance against agreed plans and develop and initiate strategies to achieve project outcomes.
  • Develop, monitor and evaluate work programs
  • Allocate and monitor works budget

Represent the Authority with stakeholders and service providers

  • Lead and contribute to committees/working groups to persuade, negotiate or influence cooperation on strategic issues,
  • Contribute to, or facilitate meetings and presentations


Applicants must:

  1. Be an Australian citizen to be eligible for engagement,
  2. Be able to obtain (within a 6 month period), and thereafter maintain, a NEGATIVE VETTING LEVEL 1 security clearance. Failure to do so will result in termination of employment.
  3. Hold an unrestricted Australian drivers licence.


  • Certificate IV in Project Management and/or Trade Qualification, or a combination of both, with relevant demonstrated experience within the Construction Industry.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Commonwealth Work Health Safety Act 2011 and supporting standards and codes.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Australian Governments procurement rules.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing Capital Works projects over $10M.
  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Project.
