FCL Transport Allocator (Night Shift)

South East Queensland Hauliers is a major wharf cartage and logistics company with a history spanning over 30 years.  The continued success and growth of our operations has bought about a newly created position  of Transport Allocator (Night Shift). This is a permanent full time opportunity and based onsite at Hemmant in Brisbane.

The Opportunity...

• Coordinate FCL movements of import and export container to and from the wharf AND/OR coordinate FCL movements across the greater Brisbane metro area;
• Allocate trucks and liaise with drivers;
• Ensure container slot bookings are checked and correct;
• Apply container numbers to slot bookings;
• De-hiring of containers;
• Timely and accurate data entry;
• Optimise fleet operations;
• Other duties as and when required.

This role will involve the highest level of attention to detail as you will be handling high volumes of import/export container movements via the Port of Brisbane wharf.

Applicants must display a commitment to customer service and possess high communication skills. You must also enjoy working within a fast paced team environment.

 

Skills, Background and Experience required 

• Proven experience in a similar role working with drivers and allocations
• 1-Stop and ContainerChain experience
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, time management and customer service skills;
• Organised, self-motivated and problem solver;
• Strong Microsoft office skills;
• Translogix experience is desirable but not essential;
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment;

You will be appointed on a full time permanent basis working Monday through Friday with occassional weekend work which is paid in addition to your wages / salary.
