The Role

We are seeking a driven and motivated individual who is looking to work within a high calibre team to provide professional and efficient business support to the Manager - SMSF Administration & Advisory of MGD Wealth. The aim of this position is to leverage the Managers time and productivity by providing exemplary client service to the clients of MGD. The successful candidate will require to be highly tuned, proactive and organised with excellent communications skills. The role also encompasses management of all administration within the team including workflow, processes and procedures. The ideal candidate will need to be comfortable working to high standards within a fast-paced working environment, always providing excellent support and service. Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Fully support the SMSFs team needs and requirements.
  • Assist with the management of the administration and accounting workflow
  • Manage the lodgements of fund and trusts income tax returns
  • Assist in the WIP management and invoice production
  • Respond to queries from clients, Accountants, Trustees, Auditors, ATO etc.
  • Manage the setting up of takeover funds and new funds
  • Respond to client queries in a timely manner
  • Maintain and enhance accounting documents and record preparation systems, processes and procedures.
  • Management of all new client engagements, including but not limited to data entry of new clients, engagement letters, invoicing, following new client engagement processes.
  • Build effective relationships with allocated clients and relevant Directors.
  • Manage calendars and independently schedule appointments to ensure the Managers time is optimally managed.
  • Screen and respond to telephone calls, emails and answer enquiries on the firms service and products in a timely and professional manner.
  • Oversee, manage and assist with relevant in-house projects.
  • Issue and manage workflow tasks.
  • Read and control incoming correspondence; identify and flag items requiring attention, draft responses.
  • Maintenance of all client data in relevant software systems.
  • Arrange travel plans and itineraries for travel related meetings.

Skills and experience

  • Minimum 2- 4 years experience working in the accounting or financial services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
  • Must have high attention to detail and be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
