POSITION VACANT FARM HAND

Van Dairy Group is a large progressive dairy farming business in North West Tasmania. The Company owns 25 dairy farms plus an extensive dairy support and heifer raising operation, with a Head Office in Smithton.

We are seeking applications for a Dairy Farm Hands positions available on several of our farms.

The position reports directly to the Farm Manager.  Applicants must meet the following criteria:

A good knowledge of all aspects of dairy farming or a desire to learn the principles of farming :

• Animal husbandry
• Pasture management
• Machine operation
• Willing to learn 

• An ability to work within a team and to assist the Management Team 
• A willingness to achieve industry best-practice in the areas of Work Health & Safety, Animal Welfare and Environmental Standards

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive remuneration package including a three-bedroom home if available. Families are welcome and the school bus stops minutes from the accommodation.

This is a permanent long-term position and would suit someone looking for stability and the opportunity to develop and progress within the Company and the dairy industry. To be eligible, candidates must hold a current Driver's License and have their own reliable transport.
