About this opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished marketer to lead a small team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Providing a mix of strategic and hands on execution this role works closely with the head of Marketing and Production Attraction to manage the development and implementation of Film Victoria's marketing, communications (including media) and stakeholder strategies.
The role is responsible for:
Leading the Marketing and Communications team in the efficient delivery of integrated marketing communications by providing day-to-day leadership which supports the team in navigating obstacles in an evolving and sometimes ambiguous environment
Working closely with the Head of Marketing and Screen Production Activity to develop and manage brand strategy, build and implement marketing and communication strategies and developing a strong and a compelling media strategy that links to the brand and organisational narrative
Managing budgets, tactical design, delivery and evaluation of marketing and communications projects
Leading the management of content planning and branding for Film Victoria
Proactively identifying and securing media coverage to create opportunities to grow Film Victoria's reputation
Creating strategic communication responses to potential and current issues and opportunities
Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders including productions, industry bodies and festivals for the purpose of promoting Victoria as a centre of screen excellence and to increase brand value and perception
Develop and manage relationships with the media to maintain brand awareness and optimise potential opportunities
Who are we looking for
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience as a strategic and resilient leader who is able to coach and support team members and provide support in overcoming obstacles and working through challenges. This experience will have been gained in an evolving environment where competing demands and ambiguity required flexibility and adaptability.
Demonstrated ability to identify strategic opportunities and develop strategies, plans and initiatives that take into account trends, challenges and opportunities in the internal and external environment.
Sound experience in creating marketing and communications strategies that support business plan objectives
Demonstrated experience integrating marketing and communications technology, digital marketing concepts and application of social media channels within marketing and communications plans.
A background in managing complex projects including the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders, develop detailed project plans, manage resources and budget, monitor progress and manage project risks and issues, ensure project objectives are met, and evaluate the project process and outcomes.
