We have an exciting opportunity for an Events Coordinator to join the Seven West Media – WA Marketing team.

Based in our Osborne Park office and reporting to the Events Manager, this position is responsible for successfully delivering a wide range of events, including but not limited to Channel 7 Christmas Pageant and The West Australian Leadership Matters series, promoting the Seven West Media WA assets (Channel 7 Perth, The West Australian, The Sunday Time, thewest.com.au, PerthNow, Regional Newspapers and Community Newspaper Group).

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Taking the lead on smaller bespoke events from start to finish, adhering to scope and budget. This includes catering, audio visual and other miscellaneous requirements with key suppliers and venues,
  • Coordinating event day requirements such as run orders, table programs, handbooks and other branded event collateral,
  • Event day bump in and bump outs,
  • Using your excellent communication skills to build and maintain strong relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, such as staff, clients, visitors, guest speakers, suppliers and venues,
  • Assisting the wider marketing team will client events and sponsorship activations,
  • Working collaboratively with other marketing functions (publicity, promotions, editorial) to generate ideas and share information and knowledge throughout the department to drive a consistent and integrated message to our audience, and
  • Performing the occasional after hours and weekend work as required in this role.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A Marketing degree with relevant work experience or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training,
  • A high level of organisation, project management and administrative skills,
  • Strong people, relationship building and stakeholder management skills,
  • Exceptional attention to detail,
  • A collaborative and positive approach, with a passion for results,
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal,
  • Excellent influencing and problem solving skills,
  • Design experience (highly desirable but not essential), and
  • Previous experience in print, television &/or digital media experience will be advantageous.
