We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, Personal Assistant to work in a well established, highly regarded, solo specialist practice in Melbourne Street, North Adelaide.  The applicant must have a previous medical background, strong organisational skills, fast and accurate typing, with knowledge of the GENIE software, and Microsoft Office.  The successful applicant will be flexible, patient focused, and professional at all times, and demonstrate an ability to work alone unsupervised.

The main duties of this fast paced and dynamic role include, but are not limited to:

-           reception duties

-           correspondence typing

-           diary management

-           organise theatre lists, liaise with hospital/anaesthetist/radiology

-           incoming/outgoing mail

-           daily/weekly banking

-           billing - liaising with health funds

-           maintaining debtor records

-           familiarity with handling cash/EFTPOS/banking

-           preparation of country consulting/operating lists

-           using recall system for long term follow-up

-           deal with incoming pathology results and referrals

-           stock ordering and rooms maintenance

 

Secretarial experience in a medical practice is essential, as is attention to detail in correspondence, communication and follow up.  Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with patients are a pre-requisite.  On site parking is available.
