Located in the northern rivers area of NSW, Rous County Council is a special-purpose local government organisation that delivers bulk water and provides flood mitigation and weed biosecurity services.
To issue all invoices/accounts across Councils varied activities and collect payment of same in accordance with agreed timeframes, policies, procedures and relevant legislation. This position is responsible for maintaining the receivable databases using a high degree of accuracy, providing a high level of customer service and initiating and monitoring debt recovery actions.
Qualifications and experience
This position requires tertiary qualifications (Certificate III or above or equivalent) in Finance, Business or Commerce together with demonstrated experience in a finance role with emphasis on accounts receivable functions.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a broad range of high-level computer skills, particularly computerised accounting software and the Microsoft Office suite of products.
Attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills and experience in debt collection including negotiating and monitoring payment arrangements are essential for this role.

Conditions of employment
Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government State Award 2017. Salary range $59,654 - $69,784 per annum based on skills and experience plus statutory superannuation (9.5%) and generous working conditions including a 70 hour, nine-day fortnight. A satisfactory health assessment, including drug screening and a criminal background check is a pre-requisite to an offer of employment.
