Senior Marketing Executive

We are Australia's leading manufacturer and designer of premium quality rugs and carpets, with showrooms in Australia and New Zealand, supplying Interior Designers, Architects and High-End users. We also create Unique Collections with some of Australia's Leading Artists, Designers and Fashion Brands. We have a great opportunity for a Senior Marketing Executive to join our busy and friendly team.

Responsible for managing the planning, development and implementation of the Marketing Strategy including but not limited to brand strategy, digital marketing, website management, media relations, CRM management, budget management, internal and external communications and campaign management that drives customer advocacy, engagement and ultimately drive enquiries resulting in sales.

These tasks are subject to ongoing change and development, especially as systems and processes become more efficient




  • Manage the annual marketing plan in conjunction with the sales teams. Managing the years activity to meet agreed company objectives
  • Devise, plan and implement the annual marketing and communications strategy across all products and services to the appropriate market; B2B or B2C
  • Budget management to deliver all marketing activity within the agreed budget
  • Manage the annual public relations, charity and events budgets and monitor progress reporting regularly



  • Website management
  • Responsible for advertising and media planning; all areas of brand and sale campaign planning, creation and execution of advertising campaigns
  • Website strategy and driving SEOm, SEO and content strategies across digital marketing; website, social media, email campaigns and search engine marketing and optimisation. Online marketing evaluation and analysis reporting, management of third party digital agency
  • Plan, direct and manage all photography requirements for branding, product, portfolio and campaigns
  • Drive co-operative partnerships and agreements
  • Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of: a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations program that will enhance the Companys image and position within the marketplace and facilitate internal and external communications
  • Ensure articulation of the Companys desired image and position, assure consistent communication of image and position throughout the company, and assure communication of this image/position to all constituencies (both internal and external)
  • Proactive Media Relations: coordinate media interest in the organisation and all media requests and inquiries and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate and timely response to media requests, while maintaining records of all media contact
  • Keep all media updated on new products, launches, and company news; act as the Companys representative with the media
  • Pitching company sales information to the most appropriate media outlets is essential to ensuring national coverage for the large sale-event times (ie End of Year and Mid year)
  • Coordinate all media send outs, including management of the stock loan folders to ensure that all product borrowed by media outlets is returned undamaged.
  • Directs the efforts of the communications and public relations and coordinates at the strategic and tactical levels. Areas Include Media (traditional and social all platforms), E-Campaigns, Public Relations, Events, and Marketing.
  • Direct Marketing requirements in relation to in store promotions, functions and catalogues
  • Database management coordinate the maintenance of the company databases and maintain updated records for all company campaigns (Direct Mail Campaigns & EDM)
  • Reporting on and maintaining the monthly editorial reports for review by the Managing Director
  • Reporting on advertising and website results with evaluation and analytics reporting as well as Search Engine Marketing and Optimisation Reporting


  • Execution of the annual program of events - both internal and external company events. Some annual events include; new Product Launches & new site or division launches, New Brand launches and various other annual events
  • Control & maintain event budgets, the event design, direction and production including everything from the Invitations, RSVPs, catering, run sheets, locations, to the Scheduling etc
  • Control and manage all Company Sponsorships/Partnerships related to all events



  • Manage all signage requirements for sale and promotional campaigns throughout the financial year planning and booking installation of campaigns
  • To manage all aspects of print production. Plan and execute stationery design, print production and the implementation process
  • Streamline stationery ordering process company wide
  • Implement stock sheet as a inventory control method on all stationery/signage touch points; ie swing tags, sale order pads, POS signage etc
  • Gain more efficiency with stationery and signage ordering through either design or print.


  • Manage all Company charity requests and respond appropriately to the requests

Manage the Companys annual budget allocation for Charity support and where possible leverage our support of charity events by branding and placement of Designer Rugs materials


  • Working safely is a condition of employment. Health and safety at work is both an individual and shared responsibility of all employees


  • 4 to 5 years experience within a Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or events role, with demonstrated success, preferably in the design and architecture community and/or furniture, design sector
  • A proven ability to oversee all marketing, advertising and promotional staff and activities
  • Experience with copywriting (press releases, website, invitations etc) is essential
  • Social media knowledge and strong experience
  • To build trust, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on delivery to customers, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate a high integrity
  • Experience in post campaign analysis, monthly editorial reports, maintenance of specific PR and Event budgets essential
  • Intermediate to advanced competency in Microsoft programs, such as Excel, Word and Outlook, Adobe Photoshop and Indesign
  • Intermediate to advanced competency in Google and Facebook Ad Management
  • A strong understanding of customer, both B2B and B2c, and market dynamics
  • Photoshop and Indesign experience beneficial
  • Bachelors degree in journalism, marketing, public relations preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced competency in Google & Facebook Ad Management
