About the role
AHA is seeking a recent graduate of communications, journalism or other relevant degree to join the Communications and Training services team as a full-time Communications Officer, for the period of one-year, with the possibility of extension. You will be an integral part of a dynamic and fun team, working under the direction of the Communications Manager.
Key responsibilities include:
managing AHA's social media accounts, websites and other online platforms
assisting with writing, editing and distributing AHA's printed and online publications
ensuring all collateral is in-line with the corporate brand
developing and maintaining relationships with member organisations and stakeholders
assisting with events coordination and support
providing administrative support to the team

Skills and experience
Tertiary qualification in a relevant area such as communications, public relations or journalism.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills.
Ability to stick to deadlines and work within allocated timelines.
Enjoys working in a dynamic team environment.
Careful attention to detail
Working knowledge of WordPress, social media channels and email marketing software.
Demonstrated skills in maintaining productive working relationships with external clients/stakeholders.
