The Australian College of Optometry is a not-for-profit organisation providing public health eye care services to disadvantaged communities.
We are looking for a Technical Officer to join our collaborative facilities team. Reporting to the Facilities Project Manager, the incumbent is responsible for providing high quality and effective client services, including but not limited to:
Providing on-site technical support as directed across all locations
Monitoring the performance of facilities & infrastructure and working to support the development of a life-cycle planning approach for all ACO assets.
You should have a trade or equivalent qualification or strong hands on practical approach with demonstrated experience. A keen eye for detail, a technical and logical thought process, ability to complete minor repair works and an awareness of relevant legislation, including OHS and building regulations.
You are comfortable working autonomously and have a positive can do attitude. You are well organised, with the ability to juggle priorities and achieve deadlines. You enjoy working with people and have excellent interpersonal skills.
