General Manager- Customer Experience- Transport

The Role:

The GM- Customer Experience role within Transport champions the long-term strategic focus on business growth through optimising the customer experience and the ongoing development of a customer centric culture.  You will work with the internal Business Units and key customer contacts to raise the level of engagement and enhance the overall customer experience within the Transport Sector.

You will be responsible for:

  • Enhancing the customer experience both new and existing
  • Strategic growth of Customer Accounts- through management of a large team of Account Managers (SMEs) & direct selling to the customer, developing and driving commercial strategies resulting in revenue growth.
  • Lead and drive innovative customer centric solutions
  • Developing and managing the National Transport Management Centre
  • Leverage workforce analytics to support the needs of the customer and drive continuous improvement
  • Lead, drive and manage a large team through strategic direction, strong leadership whilst having a strong focus and passion for a safety first culture

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 10 years chain / logistics industry experience required.  
  • Ideal experience includes: Strategic Account Management, Client Engagement, Performance Growth & Management specifically within the Transport sector.
  • Superior facilitation, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Commercially astute
  • Outstanding leadership qualities
  • Degree qualification in business/ logistics or equivalent.(Preferred)
