Established for 14 years, our client has a unique patented product that is part of many off-the-shelf and customised solutions to support logistics and materials handling. With many high profile national accounts already established such as Woolworths and Coles supermarkets, they are uniquely poised and looking for the right person to lead the sales agenda, develop and rollout a sales strategy, develop and manage national accounts, and develop new market segments while growing a sales team along the way.

With a newly established manufacturing plant in Beresfield NSW providing increased capacity and capability, the Head of Sales/Business Development will report to the Managing Director and inherit a small sales team. Initially your focus will be national, with a view to grow the team to support the next stage of development with global potential. The role will involve reasonable travel nationwide given you are the key driver in delivering sales, however our client is open to the role being based in either Newcastle, Sydney or Melbourne.

The team are looking for someone that is an experienced developer of strategic relationships, with a strong understanding and skill level in solution-selling. The ideal candidate will be ambitious, energetic, and enthusiastic, with a results-driven orientation having the capacity to thrive in a rapidly changing, start-up environment.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Demonstrated solution-selling background with examples of success
  • A minimum of 8+ years experience in a similar role
  • Experience with national accounts and providing OEM solutions is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage with Engineers or have a technical background
  • Proven experience growing a sales team
  • Demonstrated skills at growing national accounts
  • Confidence using an established CRM system
  • High order communication skills (written, verbal and report-writing)
