We are seeking an experienced and motivated Payroll Officer to join our team. Reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with the Human Resources department, you will be responsible for the efficient function of end-to-end payroll processing in Chris21, including but not limited to:
Processing of new starters and terminations including redundancy calculations ensuring compliance with regulatory rules and legislation
Monthly payroll processing including timesheet entry, superannuation, workers compensation and PAYG calculations
Preparing all payroll related journal postings, reconciliations including super, deductions, and payroll clearing
End of month reporting and reconciliation
End of Year payroll processing and reporting
Payroll administration including maintenance and update of employee records, testing of system upgrades and address queries in relation to payroll
May assist with other accounting duties from time to time
To be successful in this role you need to have a minimum of 5 years previous experience held in a Payroll Officer function, have solid experience using Chris21 and a good understanding of current legislation requirements. In addition, it is essential that you possess strong attention to detail and effective communication skills liaising with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
