This is an exciting opportunity to start your career with a Global Leader in Manufacturing as an Apprentice Mechanical Fitter at our Penrith Plant located on Andrews Road.
Throughout the apprenticeship you will learn how to perform a comprehensive range of mechanical maintenance activities in our large-scale glass manufacturing plant. You will be put on rotation through the various maintenance teams and be guided by Senior Maintenance personnel and receive extensive on-the-job and off-the-job training.
During the course of the apprenticeship you will enroll in, and complete a Certificate III in Engineering, this includes both on-the-job and classroom training.
You will have a genuine interest in Mechanics, like working with your hands and be well motivated to start a career in a Heavy Industrial Manufacturing environment.
You must have sounds verbal and written communication skills, understand the importance of safety at work and enjoy working in a team. Cert II in Engineering or other pre-apprenticeship qualifications will be highly regarded.
