CEG Training Partnerships a division of Career Employment Group is an established Registered Training Organisation based in Whyalla that delivers training in Port Lincoln, Roxby Downs, Adelaide and Whyalla, has as a vacancy for an RTO Manager.

CEG Training Partnerships provides a range of training from high risk tickets and licences, to Certificate III in Individual Support and Foundation Skills, a full list of the training provided can be found at https://training.gov.au/Organisation/Details/40138.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Manager will be responsible for overseeing the scheduling and implementation of training programs to meet contract and budget forecasts, formulating business development initiatives and overseeing the regulatory, compliance and funding contract requirements of being a South Australian registered training organisation.

CEG Training Partnerships RTO registration extends to 12 December 2025.

This vacancy is full time based in Whyalla however other locations may be negotiated.

Key accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of annual training delivery and business plans
  • Strategic focus on ensuring CEG-Training Partnerships operates as a financially viable independent unit.
  • Manage and report against budgets
  • Effective and efficient management of planning and meeting client training requirements in alignment with CEGs strategic direction.
  • Provide strong leadership functionality including the provision of advice, problem solving, coaching and supporting department staff.
  • Liaison with government departments and other divisions within CEG to ensure smooth operations
  • Prepare and submit tender and grant submissions and funding acquittals related to training delivery
  • Oversee quality management, compliance and funding requirements across all accredited training operations (including meeting ASQA standards and regulations and DIS WorkReady and Skilling SA regulatory requirements)
  • Actively manage assigned staff to ensure they are undertaking their role accordingly
  • Coordinate development and changes to training infrastructure
  • Actively monitor KPIs for staff and address any concerns
  • Connect with industry tasks forces to increase their awareness of CEG-Training Partnerships and training programs.
  • Liaise with large employers to identify training needs and services CEG-Training Partnerships can provide
  • Work collaboratively with the wider organisation to achieve operating synergies
  • Willingness to travel to all training sites in South Australia

To be successful in this role, the successful applicant will possess the following:

  • At least 5 years experience in a similar management role within an RTO
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 or an in-depth understanding  of accredited training delivery requirements (you must have a willingness to undertake the qualification if you do not hold a current TAE40116)
  • Tertiary qualifications in Management / Education and/or Vocational Education and Training will be well regarded
  • High standard of effective written and oral communications skills and capable of communicating with people from all walks of life
  • High standard computer skills (including Microsoft Office and JobReady or a similar Student Management System)
  • High standards of personal organisation, including time management with the ability to multitask and to deliver outcomes concurrently
  • A high level of financial acumen and ability to work within budgets to meet organisation goals
  • Experience in financial analysis particularly of income and expenditure streams
  • Experience in administrative management including direct staff management.
  • A problem solver with excellent attention to detail and priorities
  • Proficient ability to interpret guidelines and legislation as it pertains the role
