We are seeking an energetic Instrument Manufacturing Technician to join our service team based in Adelaide. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for assembling, fault finding, calibrating and testing instruments in accordance with established procedures, system and module analysis requiring the use of various electronic test equipment and specialised computer software and hardware, as well as system disassembly and re-build.
You will have experience with electronic assembly and testing in a production environment. Exposure to high reliability soldering, capability for testing electronic systems to procedures, and knowledge of computer systems is a must. Any experience with fine mechanical/optical assembly would also be preferred. To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate an ability to interpret drawings, the ability to set up and operate electronic test equipment, attention to detail, and be able to handle systems weighing up to 15 kg.
