About the Role

The Primary School Administration Manager’s overall responsibility is to ensure the administrative routines and procedures and teaching requirements of the Primary School are co-ordinated in a practical and timely manner. The role contributes to the strategic and operational leadership of the Primary School as a member of the Primary School Executive Leadership Team and assists the Primary School Directors with the co-ordination of operations in the Primary School.

This role will co-ordinate and supervise the administrative staff (Primary School Receptionists/Administrative Assistants, Co-curricular Administrative Assistant, Academic Administrative Assistant and Head of Primary School PA), across two campuses within the Primary School overseeing their workflow, professional development and wellbeing.

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Coordination of the Primary School calendars
  • Oversight of Complispace including Risk Assessments
  • Coordination of the relief staff and staff replacement processes
  • Coordination and support of GAP students
  • Editing and coordination of publications
  • Coordination of Evacuation and Lock Down procedures
  • Production of weekly staff returns for accounts
  • Maintains records in accordance with legislative requirements
  • Maintains confidentiality in sensitive matters
  • Participates in the organisation and implementation of Primary School events eg Whole School presentation events
  • Liaise and communicate with school executive, teaching and support staff, students and parents
  • Use IT systems confidently i.e. MS Suite, Synergetic, Blackboard or similar LMS


  • Contributes to the pastoral care of staff, students and their families
  • Regularly engages in professional development opportunities
  • Reflects on successes and identifies areas of improvement
  • Leads administrative improvement and innovation projects
  • Initiates professional learning opportunities for administrative staff
  • Contributes to the recruitment, appraisal and ongoing support of administrative staff
  • Chairs relevant meetings; facilitating regular Administrative Team meetings
