Warehouse Manager

The Role

Reporting to the National Logistics Manager,  you will be responsible for managing and leading the day to day operation of the warehouse and embroidery functions within our National DC based at Wetherill Park. 

You will be required to  inspire, coach and develop your team to create an environment of embedding procedures, continuous improvement and processes to deliver results. 

Within the DC environment you will oversee all DC operations including, inwards and outwards stock movements, embroidery function, replenishments for store network and major account customer stock requirements to ensure excellent productivity efficiencies and customer service is delivered to support the store network.    

The DC operates 2 shifts on a daily basis over a spread of Monday to Friday and weekends when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to ensure achievement of companys strategic and operational objectives
  • Implement operational improvement initiatives to increase productivity
  • Coach, develop and drive continuous improvement activities with the team
  • Manage and lead the Warehouse and Embroidery team responsible for supporting the Retail Stores and B2B customers
  • Identify, develop and implement training initiatives for all team members
  • Lead change management across all functions
  • Hold team accountable for all operational activities
  • Create a positive and collaborative culture of commitment and professionalism
  • Manage and lead the OH & S function for the entire site

Skills / Experience / Qualifications:

  • Prior experience leading warehouse teams in a fast-paced customer focused RF environment 
  • You need to have a friendly, informal and consultative style when working with others
  • Proven experience in effective planning, stock control and operational processes
  • Solid analytical, financial and business acumen with ability to deliver business outcomes
  • Proven record of building service focused teams
  • Experience in coaching, developing and training team members
  • Strong ability to lead, support and drive change management
  • Solid experience with OH & S practices and functions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to use initiative to change and grow the existing business
