The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly motivated individual that has been working in the legal industry with extensive experience in the mergers and acquisition process.

Working as part of a high-performing team, you will be engaging at a senior level with clients, both private equity firms and corporate businesses. Youll be committed to providing the highest level of service and professionalism in this varied role, which will find you managing significant M&A projects, reading and checking sale and purchase agreements, negotiating policy terms, and producing reports.

The M&A Transactional Liability team pride themselves on being market-leaders, committed to providing a gold-class standard of service to its clients, and you will be utilising your experience and knowledge to contribute to the strategic direction of the division.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading clients through the process of transferring their transactional liability risk, managing relationships up to C-suite executives
  • Pro-actively establishing new relationships to develop income opportunities
  • Identifying and bringing on-line new projects within the current client portfolio
  • Building/ maintaining a network of relationships within the insurance market
  • Liaising with underwriters and internal stakeholder to deliver optimised go-to-market strategies
  • Drafting, proof-reading and producing high quality reports
  • Providing leadership and guidance to other members of the team

To be successful, you will demonstrate:

  • A law degree and legal background with a substantial focus on M&A
  • Experience with corporate taxation would be highly valued but is not required
  • Exceptional client management capabilities, which includes attracting, retaining and growing clients
  • A keen entrepreneurial spirit and flare for business development
  • Analytical abilities and experience drafting proposals and documentation
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to take ownership and accountability for development and execution of projects and relationships
  • The capability and experience to provide leadership across the teams technical, relationship management and business development skill-sets
