The Faculty Office supports the learning and teaching, research and business operations of its four Schools, Centres and Institutes across three campuses, North Terrace, Waite and Roseworthy.
Working under broad direction with considerable autonomy, in this leadership role, you will collaborate with the Faculty Leadership Team, School Executive Teams and Senior Staff in Finance, Procurement and Planning Services to provide high level and comprehensive financial management support, advice and planning services. In this key leadership position, you will partner with the Schools to achieve strategic and operational priorities through the implementation of an efficient and effective Financial Management Framework while supporting the Executive Dean, Faculty Executive Manager and Heads of School in all aspects of financial management and planning.
As the Faculty Finance & Planning Manager, you will report directly to the Faculty Executive Manager to provide visible leadership to a substantial team of professional staff. You will lead the team to achieve financial management practices in alignment with the Faculty and University’s financial policies, procedures, standards, practices and expectations in the delivery of internal and external financial reports, policy and procedure implementation, compliance and financial planning, analysis and budgeting.
To be successful you will need:
- Extensive experience in financial management of diverse business areas in a large and complex organisation
- Extensive experience in the provision of high quality financial management services including collection, interpretation, analysis, modelling and reporting of financial and business data
- Experience in designing and refining financial reports to meet stakeholder requirements
- High level ability to communicate and explain complex financial information in an understandable manner
- Formal accounting, business and/or finance qualifications to CPA/CA level
