Who we are Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) is responsible for the leadership of 152 Catholic primary and secondary schools across the Archdiocese of Sydney, which educates over 70,000 students. The Strategy Policy and Governance (SPG) directorate is responsible for overseeing Sydney Catholic Schools Governance Framework, including in the areas of strategy, compliance, risk, delegations, policies and procedures, board administration and assurance.
About the role At a time of changing educational landscapes, new governance expectations in the NFP sector and increasing system growth, we have a unique opportunity for an innovative and strategically focused (Professional Officer: Secretariat and Governance) to contribute to a high capacity agile team that aligns the strategy of the organization and positions it for a strong and vibrant future.
The role is responsible for delivering efficient and high quality board and SCS executive secretariat functions. The SPG directorate works collaboratively so this position will also be involved in ensuring SCS has effective governance frameworks in place, and developing and advising on policies, standardised processes and reporting across the system.

Experience working in the areas of compliance, risk or policy
Experience in preparing and delivering training programs, including online training
Experience working in a Catholic, not-for-profit or public-sector organisation
