Branch Supervisor - Transport

Russell Transport is a medium sized family road transport business based in Eagle Farm, Brisbane.  With a growing fleet and a diverse range of transport, warehousing and crane businesses, this organisation offers the right candidate the opportunity to launch and expand their career.

We are seeking a permanent full time Branch Supervisor to assist in managing the day to day operations of employees and  fleet of vehicles based on a client site. 

Position based at Northgate

• Assisting the Contract Manager in managing the day to day operations of Contracted Fleets
• On and off site load restraint auditing, ensuring load restraints meets customer requirements
• Driver Compliance auditing driver run sheets/work diaries ensuring rest periods and driving hours are adhered to
• Be involved with clients and their businesses to ensure our company has every opportunity to be seen in the best light as a valuable service provider
• Maintaining a thorough knowledge of over-dimensional guidelines for Queensland and New South Wales
• With a 'hands on' approach, taking ownership and responsibility for matters within your area of influence
• Conducting site access audits

To secure this role you must have:

• Extensive knowledge of the Transport Industry and Operations including WH&S regulation and codes of practice
• Load restraint trained
• Crane truck experience desirable
• Safety conscious with the ability to challenge current systems and procedures
• Confident and well presented, with good verbal and written communication skills
• Computer literate with good computer skills in Excel and Word
• Have the ability to work with a hand held PDA
• A  MC licence is desirable
• A steel industry background is desirable
