About the Role

This position will report to the Director of Finance and spearhead the project cost management, analysis and reporting for the Grove Group.

You will have primary day-to-day responsibility for checking the accuracy of project estimations before the creation of new projects, the capture of actual project costs and revenue, and completion of Grove Group month end including posting of journals and analysis.  You will also support the development of budgets and forecasts and business partnering at a site level to deliver insights.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Produce timely and accurate monthly management information reports inclusive of Profit and Loss Statements, Balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis within required timelines
  • Ensure project costing is completed, approved and loaded into Pronto
  • Improve accuracy of project costing working towards minimal internal variations
  • Streamline project reporting and analysis to deliver real time electronic reports including dashboards to management.
  • Ensure all project variations are captured on a timely and accurate basis
  • Ensure all customer variations are charged to the client.
  • Ensure all costing templates reflect current negotiated pricing for materials and services
  • Ensure all materials are issued and correctly allocated to projects on a timely basis

About You

Ideally you will be tertiary qualified and have completed or be studying toward your CPA/CA qualifications with a minimum of five years experience working in a similar role.

Your experience combined with strong attention to detail, ability to exercise initiative, willingness to innovate and strong communications skills will allow you to add value in a high performance environment.
