About the role

As an Audit Senior (PO4), you are a member of an audit team, and at times, will lead a team. You work on a range of audits across a diverse portfolio with clients throughout Queensland.

In this role you:

  • deliver effective and valued audit and assurance engagements
  • understand your clients and build good working relationships
  • support audit engagement leaders in scoping and delivering the audit work program, contribute to resourcing and budgeting and identify significant audit matters
  • take a lead role in project management and day to day running of lower to medium risk audits
  • take a lead role in supervising, directing and reviewing your teams work
  • coach and mentor your team to build capability
  • contribute to organisational improvement initiatives

Travel throughout Queensland is required as part of the role, sometimes at short notice.

The total remuneration* includes leave loading and 12.75% superannuation to your choice of superannuation fund when you make a 5% employee contribution.

About you

To be successful in this role, you:

  • can identify and manage audit, assurance and accounting issues appropriately, utilising well-developed evaluation and analytical skills
  • are committed to delivering quality, responsive and engaging client services
  • have sound auditing, assurance and accounting knowledge, demonstrating professional scepticism and sound judgement
  • have integrity and professionalism and are aligned with our values
  • have strong relationship management skills
  • are confident to present to stakeholders and have clear written communication
  • have advanced knowledge of financial accounting IT systems for evaluating controls and assessing risks
  • hold a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (highly regarded) and membership of CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, or similar (mandatory)
