Local Government NSW is the peak industry association that represents the interests of NSW general and special purpose councils. We support, promote and advocate for our Members, empowering them to build strong, liveable communities.


This exceptional communication opportunity has been created following the redesign of the organisation and management structure to deliver exceptional services, innovation and performance to our Members.


As an integral member of the Communications & Media team, this position contributes and participates in the planning, development and implementation of corporate marketing and publication activities both internally and externally to support the achievement of LGNSW corporate goals.


The Communications Manager is responsible for a strategic communications approach across the organisation to ensure programs and campaigns align with LGNSW mandate and strategic priorities. The Manager Communications provides strategic advice, including to senior executives that is focused on articulating the LGNSW narrative and protecting its reputation.


With significant experience in the communications industry (Government sector highly regarded), you have developed and delivered communication strategies that support organisational objectives in a diverse political environment, whilst managing conflicting priorities and competing stakeholder expectations.
