Join us as the Safety, Environment & Quality Manager, ensuring the development, monitoring, management and maintenance of the Safety and Quality components of the SEQ Management System

The job

Quality Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that processes needed for the Quality component of the Safety, Environment and Quality Management System (SEQMS) are established, implemented and maintained
  • Ensure that the organisations Quality Management System conforms to customer, internal, ISO 9001, and regulatory/legal requirements
  • Conduct periodic management review meetings
  • Report to Executive Management on the performance of the SEQMS and any need for improvement
  • Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organisation

Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Responsibilities:

  • Fulfil the role of designated Management Representative to manage, maintain and report on the SEQ management system for the Victorian Business.
  • Ensuring that the SEQ Management System is established implemented and maintained in accordance with AS4801.
  • Provide advice, guidance and support to the Victorian business as the safety, environment and quality subject matter expert.
  • Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer on SEQ performance and the performance of the SEQMS and recommendations for improvement
  • Brief senior managers on SEQ matters.
  • Monitor and review business activities to ensure Bingo is meeting the established SEQ objectives and targets
  • Assessment, identification, monitoring and tracking of hazards and impacts throughout the business (includes sites {Bingo & Customer}, drivers, trucks and workshops)

General Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate active safety, environmental & quality leadership by being involved in all safety and environmental activities, not walking past unsafe acts, engaging workers and constantly improving safety and environmental practices across the business.
  • Support the sales department with tenders, presentations and sales by promoting Bingo SEQ achievements and expertise to customers.
  • Deliver presentations to customers, and potential customers as part of the sales process to promote the SEQ achievements, systems and expertise of Bingo.
  • Ensure that objectives and targets for the SEQ function of the business are monitored, implemented and reviewed.

What you bring

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (WHS, Environmental & or Quality Management)
  • 5 years plus working experience in an SE&Q Management role in a similar organisation within the waste or construction industry
  • Proven experience effectively leading, developing and building teams
  • Proven experience in the implementation of knowledge of SEQ Principles to practices and procedures
  • Proven experience in enhancing organisational effectiveness
  • Demonstrated strong computer skills and a working knowledge of office software packages (MS Office)
  • Demonstrates experience in developing statistical reports, managing data and identifying trends.
  • High level presentation skills.
