About NSW Rural Doctors Network
NSW Rural Doctors Network (RDN) is a not-for-profit, non-government charitable organisation and is the Australian Government’s designated Rural Workforce Agency (RWA) for health in NSW.
RDN aims to ensure that the highest possible standard of healthcare is available to remote, rural and regional communities through the provision of a highly skilled health workforce.
RDN is seeking a Director, Corporate Services to be part of the Executive team leading RDN’s strategic activities in the areas of People and Culture, Financial Services, Information Communication and Technology, Customer Service, Records Management, and Contracts and Procurement.
The Director will ensure the following services are provided within budget and comply with relevant statutory obligations, regulations, codes, guidelines and RDN policies and organisational directives:
Assist the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and RDN in developing and attaining strategic objectives.
Provide quality advice to RDN, the CEO and staff within the Newcastle and Sydney offices.
Manage the people and culture, administrative, financial and corporate services areas of RDN in an effective, efficient and accountable manner.
Effectively and efficiently manage the operations of RDN in an accountable manner including the timely and accurate preparation of strategic (future) and corporate (business) plans, budgets, annual statements, information returns and any other statutory requirements.
Provide strategic advice to the CEO on matters relating to governance, policy, planning, legislation and operations of RDN departments and organisation-wide.
Support the strategic and business growth of RDN
Behave in a professional, supportive manner and cooperate with fellow executives.
Support behaviours that comply with the RDN’s values and strive towards a high standard of service delivery to the organisation and the community.
Minimum eight years’ experience in a similar role/s providing operational leadership in a multi-site human services environment.
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Management, Human Resources Management or related fields (MBA desirable but not essential).
Leadership and management experience including staff, operational, financial management and effective resource management.
Comprehensive knowledge of Australia’s health and medical research system including research funding and policy-setting mechanisms.
Entrepreneurial skills and proven project management and contract implementation skills.
A commitment to Aboriginal health and demonstrated understanding of cultural awareness and safety.
Current driver’s licence and ability to regularly travel interstate and across RDN’s offices.
