Your New Role

The position is for a junior draftsperson and office assistant to come on board to help with a surplus of work we are currently receiving. The role will require you:

  • Work with our experienced staff to meet the demands of our clients
  • In time, meet new and existing clients and develop on going relationships
  • Occasional site travel with a supplied vehicle when necessary shorter day trips
  • Occasional early starts for site visits and inductions

 

The work will include:

  • 2D CAD based drafting using AutoCad LT
  • Marking up existing CAD drawings as per red-pen mark-ups
  • Creating new CAD drawings with our guidance and assistance where necessary
  • Tracing existing paper drawings to create editable CAD versions
  • Our work is primarily around electrical drafting but does include earthworks, mechanical and structural etc.
  • Assisting with document management
    • Scanning
    • Sorting mining documents such as isolation guidelines, confined spaces permits etc.
    • Microsoft suite work word, excel, outlook, etc.
  • General office duties


Due to current demand the position is likely to begin at 38hrs per week though this could fluctuate depending on our current demands. We believe the future demands are likely to continue to grow and as such, if all parties agree the position is working well, the role can turn into a permanent position.

 


What You'll Need to Succeed

  • AutoCAD experience or TAFE applicable Certificate. Such as; Tafe statement in AutoCAD Level 1 or 2, Diploma of Industrial Design, or Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting
  • The ability to work independently as well as within our small team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Have a drivers license
  • Be either a permanent resident or citizen
