New South Wales Land Registry Services (NSW LRS) operates the land titles registry for the State Government and the people of New South Wales. We create and maintain land titles information and sell land information products and services, working with care to protect and maintain the integrity of the register. The NSW land titles registry underpins the states secure, efficient and guaranteed system of land ownership.

Its a time of growth and change for NSW LRS, as land and property information increasingly moves online. Were investing in technology, service improvement, and product innovation to deliver services and information products that support and inform home buyers, property owners, tenants, and property managers.

A range of new entry-level roles are now available to support our business as we grow and change.

Your responsibilities include:

Examine and register documents relating to property transactions in NSW and create titles following the registration of deposited and strata plans and provide support to ensure the correct definition of title boundaries and property ownership to assist in maintaining the currency, accuracy and integrity of the plan titling registers.

  • Develop the necessary knowledge and skills to perform the following tasks:
    • Review and prepare documents received for registration
    • Identify land ownership and other land interests
    • Access and interpret land titles, cadastral maps and related records including plans of survey
    • Assemble land information into a digital packet to enable examination of plans and dealings in an electronic workflow system
    • Assist with the examination and processing of specific types of plans, dealings and instruments to ensure compliance with operational and legislative requirements
    • Ensure the creation of correct and current titles by registering deposited and strata plans and creating new titles in the Torrens Title Register (the Register) in accordance with operational and legislative requirements.
  • Contribute to excellence in customer service, face-to-face and electronic, relating to practices, procedures, products and services.
  • Participate in the achievement of planned business outcomes by contributing ideas for improving work practices, consistent with the organisations goal to achieve a high standard or quality in every process, product and service.
