Events Coordinator - Defence Force Recruiting

About this role

Defence Force Recruiting is a unique partnership between Manpower Group and the ADF working together to recruit personnel to the Navy, Army and Air Force to ensure and achieve capability requirements for the ADF.

Exciting opportunity to work in DFRC in Adelaide on a fixed term contract 12 months, In this role you will be responsible for creating strategic local and regional marketing, activities and message dissemination plans; sourcing and developing support initiatives to ensure effective implementation of the strategic plans spanning across Adelaide. Utilising your event / project management skills you will work to attract the right candidates at the right time to meet Australian Defence Force (ADF) capability needs.

About You

We are looking for someone who is extremely organised with the ability to work in a busy fast paced environment. You will deal with a number of stakeholders both internally and externally so you need to be personable and have the ability to communicate at all levels.

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Developing networks and relationships with local businesses and School Career Advisors and Influencers
  • Coordinate recruiting activities and events
  • Schedule appropriate planning to ensure that marketing campaigns are implemented to attract the right candidates
  • Explore new opportunities and research local events to compliment attraction plans
  • Liaise with and build relationships with relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinating with Military Careers Promotions Team
  • High level administration

Your skills and experience (Selection Criteria)

  • Previous exposure to events, advertising and/or recruitment
  • A high level of administration  experience
  • Ability to communicate with impact
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Excellent problem solving, time management and attention to detail
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Multitasking, planning and organisational skills
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience working in social media spheres (desirable)

Essential

  • Australian Citizenship
  • Be able to obtain and hold a Security Clearance
