We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Contract Manager to undertake a 2 year fixed term opportunity. The purpose of this position is to provide contract management services to support Queensland Rail in delivering commercially focused contract solutions. You will be working across a range of infrastructure projects including civil, building, electrical and other disciplines across the organisation.

As a Contract Manager you will need to have a high level of understanding of statutory, regulatory and policy obligations relating to safety, environment and HR requirements. You will also need to have a high level of skill in the administration of contracts for infrastructure projects/installation works. A background in or understanding of Civil Engineering or Construction Management would be beneficial.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Provide contract administration of all aspects of development and delivery of multiple contract types to achieve construction and operational safety, compliance to technical standards, and contact requirements.
  • Manage stakeholder aspects including pre-tender issues, scope changes, reporting and contract delivery within budget, quality and delivery milestones to achieve stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Resolve contract disputes, carry out site inspections, chair contract meetings and write contract correspondence.
  • Provide technical assistance and supervision to Construction Inspectors.
  • Develop and enhance safety, environmental, quality and technical standards, specifications and procedures.
  • Assist Project Managers in providing supervision and technical direction to external contractors and internal service providers in the delivery of projects.
