Our company is based in Warana and is currently looking for an experienced payroll officer with sound bookkeeping and accounts payable knowledge. 

The role requires payroll for approximately 35 employees and will require basic bookkeeping duties to assist the accounting team.

 

Tasks - Payroll

  • Liaise with Operations Manager to manage store rosters
  • Ensure all timesheets are submitted ready for weekly payroll
  • Process weekly payroll, including pay slips in MYOB, including follow through to bank reconciliation
  • Manage paperwork associated with each new employee, including any statutory forms required for the lawful process of payroll
  • Follow and help improve payroll policies and procedures
  • Report to Financial Accountant for payroll, superannuation and PAYG liabilities both weekly and monthly

 

Tasks Bookkeeping

  • Bank reconciliation and data entry as required
  • Accounts Payable; entry of supplier invoices, preparation of payment reports
  • Journal entries as directed by Financial Accountant

 

Requirements

  • Attention to detail, accuracy and superb time management
  • Ability to work independently as required
  • MYOB Essentials experience preferred
  • Excel spreadsheet skills required
  • Sound bookkeeping knowledge essential,
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar payroll management position
  • Knowledge and/or experience with the General Retail Industry Award and Fair Work requirements highly regarded

 

Monday to Thursday, 5 hours per day.
