Senior leadership opportunity for a Director Engagement within the Department of Primary Industries (DPI) Engagement and Industry Assistance Branch. The DPI Engagement and Industry Assistance Branch is dedicated to delivering programs that build stronger primary industries by providing critical rural support and enhance DPI’s connection with communities, industries and people.
This role focuses on building DPI’s strategic stakeholder relationships with the industries, communities and people across NSW that connect with DPI. The Director Engagement leads DPI’s engagement strategy and provides information and delivery of programs, including building organisational engagement capability, to strengthen our engagement and position DPI to build stronger primary industries across NSW.
We’re looking for a highly experienced leader with strong diplomacy skills and sound judgment. Ability to establish relationships that are lasting and deliver value across organisation is critical.
Equipped with a strong understanding of appropriate engagement platforms and service delivery expectations, you will anticipate the need for appropriate strategies that impact across rural and regional NSW. You will be comfortable leading a team that partners with DPI Executives in order to best promote DPI programs, priorities and objectives through cohesive engagement.
You will possess the ability to forward plan, anticipating threats and opportunities in order to provide the Executive and Minister's office with strategic briefings on current and developing issues. A close working relationship with the relevant Communications teams will also ensure consistency in the deliverables and messaging required by the Department. Experience in government is not essential.
