Business Development Manager

Based in Wetherill Park, Travel will be required, An attractive Salary package is on offer, Market Leading and Global Company.My client, a leading global supplier to the Corrosion Control and Protective Coatings Industry, is seeking a highly successful Business Development Manager to join a fast growing, dynamic and rapidly evolving company.

Working in the Industrial Solutions business supplying Surface preparation, Painting facilities and associated equipment and services, as Business Development Manager you will strengthen the business and increase market penetration and sales.

With your ability to work autonomously with a proactive approach to improving the overall performance of the business, achieving ambitious growth targets with a high focus on market share, penetration and profitability and converting potential to achieve business targets will see you see you succeed in this role.

Reporting to the General Manager and as an active member of the management team your will duties will include;

  • Plan, Prioritise and execute sales activity
  • Develop contacts and Relationships within related industries creating awareness of possibilities 
  • Analyse and report on market trends, opportunities, competitor activists and economic trend.
  • Coordinate the maintenance and development of existing key clients
  • Closely follow up future projects and provide technical and commercial support to customers
  • Develop a highly effective sales network by use of industry and sales plans, working closely with local sales reps throughout the region.
  • Advance marketing strategies
  • Travel throughout Australia will be required

As a leader with experience in adding value to the success of an Industrial operation through an absolute understanding of it key business drivers, the capacity to generate insights and ability to predict future needs and provide guidance and capital equipment solutions to your clients you will be required to have the following skills and attributes;

  • Proven track record of success as a Business Development Manager
  • An impressive Technical background, an engineering degree will be highly regarded
  • Demonstrated track record of driving top line revenue and profit performance
  • 5+ years in Construction or equipment supply
  • Track record of transitioning a business from low level transactions to genuinely partnering with and providing solutions to key clients.
  • Excellent Communication skills both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail
  • Time management talents
