Mechanical Fitter - Locomotive Industry

Manpower are currently recruiting for a qualified mechanical fitter / service technician to join our Client's workshop. Our successful Client overhauls and repairs rail braking and pneumatic components for the mining sector. Candidates must be able to work in a busy team and understanding of locomotive components is essential.

This is a Monday to Friday position 6am - 3pm.

Duties will include but not limited to:

• Repair rail braking and pneumatic components
• Maintenance checks on rail equipment
• Work within part of a team
• Assist with daily scheduling of maintenance

To be successful in gaining this position you will possess:

• Mechanical qualification
• Engineering shop experience
• WA Driving Licence
• Rail / Locomotive mechanical fitting experience HD/HV or LV commercial mechanical fabrication/modification experience
• Rail CAT2 Medical (attainable)
