Digital Communications Specialist Marketing and Communications Team Governance, Strategy and Digital Technology Directorate
The Team The Marketing and Communications Team is responsible for leading and managing the strategic development and implementation of communications, media and marketing for Catholic Education Western Australia (CEWA) as well as providing support and direction to schools and colleges in relation to their communications and marketing.
The Role This role is responsible for managing digital marketing and communications for Catholic Education Western Australia.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
Develop and implement digital marketing initiatives, with a key focus on aligning initiatives with CEWAs Strategic Directions and meeting the objectives of CEWAs Marketing and Communications strategy
Assist in the progression of a holistic content strategy that focuses on establishing new channels of engagement (including Instagram, Linked In, website)
Research and write content as required for social and digital communications
Acting as the coordinator for digital content, responsible for scheduling stories and ensuring jobs are briefed and delivered on time
Reviewing content briefs and timelines and checking the Project Lodgement System to schedule and plan
Managing the workflow of writers, contributors and designers and liaising with freelancers and contractors
Ensuring quality control and approval systems are instigated and followed
A demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of the Catholic Church
Demonstrated experience in developing and managing digital and social media strategies, with a track record of increasing online engagement
Proven ability to create and write engaging content for a variety of audiences and online channels
Current industry knowledge and an understanding of the digital communications landscape
Ability to effectively plan and schedule content across multiple channels
Creative thinker ability to conceptualise and influence the development of content in all formats video, visual, written and audio
Broad familiarity with marketing technology systems and a willingness to support the development and implementation of content planning and scheduling systems and processes
