Reporting to the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate reporting. The role is available as a permanent or temp-to-perm opportunity. Key duties will include, but will not be limited to:
Month-end reporting, journals and general ledger reconciliations
Regular analysis of revenues, expenses and the GL
Ensure effective management of financial risks and controls
Statutory reporting including GST, BAS and FBT
Maintaining the fixed asset register
Maintaining optimal systems and processes to ensure timely, accurate and compliant data management and reporting
Involvement in rolling out a new ERP and payroll system
Other ad-hoc duties and project work as required
The Successful Candidate
In order to secure this position, you will be a technically capable and hands-on accountant. You will be adaptable and place a strong emphasis on relationship building and business partnering across all levels. The following will be favourably looked upon:
CA/CPA qualifications, or at least part-qualified
Commercial accounting experience in a relevant sector
Technical accounting experience e.g. taxation/statutory compliance, compliance with accounting standards etc.
Strong Excel and systems skills
Stakeholder management experience across all levels
Outstanding communication skills
