The Lake Karrinyup Country Club facilities boast a wonderful, private function spaces catering for up to 350 + guests as well as weddings, conferences & members club events.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a mature, experienced professional to fill in the position of Events Manager at Lake Karrinyup Country Club.

The successful applicant will be responsible to market, sell and coordinate the functions operation of the club and to supervise the courteous, efficient and effective delivery of the hospitality services to members, their guests and other patrons.

The applicant must have a minimum 3years working experience in a similar role, immaculate presentation, a friendly personality and excellent (professional) phone manner, the ability to provide the highest standard of customer service and generate new business.

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring that, events both private and club related are handled effectively. Flexibility on the working hours is required.

The ideal candidate will hold the following skill set

  • Managing all functions enquiries, site inspections and meetings with clients
  • Answer all functions, events & wedding enquiries via email/phone call
  • Exemplary communication & time management skills and attention to detail
  • Coordinates and delivers a range of events including weddings, private and club functions, conferences, corporate golf days and other events.
  • Ability to negotiate, organise, delegate and work under pressure
  • Sourcing new business throughout the development of corporate relationship, telephone sales
  • Initiate and maintain social media
  • Maintaining a strong customer service focus
  • Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook and knowledge of ResPak Functions & InDesign would be an advantage
  • Must hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol and Approved Manager licence desirable.
