Executive General Manager

Established Sector Leader, Key Executive Position in an Innovative and growing not for profit organisatio, Perth Based.

The position of Executive General Manager is a key leadership appointment, which will help shape the strategic direction of this well-known community group known for delivering strong outcomes for their clients. As a mature organisation, critical to the appointment is the need to attract an experienced executive who has a track record of effective stakeholder management, high level leadership skills, and a strong focus on service delivery and operations.

We are looking for an accomplished senior leader, able to manage through influence within the context of a Not for Profit organisation with a high level of government engagement. The role incorporates responsibility for Western Australian operations, governance, strategy and leadership, whilst also ensuring property investment and development, asset and commercial strategies, systems and processes are in alignment with overall organisation strategy. Advocacy and influence in the wider policy setting are also a key feature, with the ultimate aim to improve the lives of West Australians.

Key aspects to the brief will include:

• Defining and leading the commercial strategy for Western Australia, influencing at the highest level of the organisation and within the wider community
• Providing front line leadership and a point of escalation for the business in resolving negotiations and commercial issues

• Effectively managing stakeholder relationships including those with government, clients and other relevant networks

• Building capacity and empowering people within the business to further grow, optimise and improve their service
• Providing support, risk review and governance to business development initiatives

As a strong candidate for this role you will likely be able to demonstrate:

• An engaging and outcome-oriented leadership style, who is able to establish credibility with diverse stakeholders and manage these relationships
• Significant leadership experience

• Strategic thinking with a track record in improving service delivery and operational effectiveness in a complex environment

• Negotiation and commercial management in construction/property development and planning settings
• Proven experience and successful track record in the public/community, private housing sector human services, or transferable sector which has complex funding arrangements

• Comfortable working with ambiguity and in a values-based organisation and working with others to deliver better housing outcomes
