The Facilities Management Services (FMS) group is responsible for buildings/infrastructure, grounds and facility services across the UNE properties and is part of the Chief Operating Officer Portfolio. FMS consists of the units of Finance and Administration, Operations, Capital Development and Strategic Development.
About the role
To assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of refrigeration services in University buildings. This position works under the general direction of the Refrigeration Supervisor, and is required to provide a high level of technical support and expertise in installing, maintaining and ensuring safe operation of refrigeration and associated systems. This is to be achieved by the coordination with Refrigeration Supervisor, contracted providers and coordination of in-house staff.
Skills & Experience
FMS are seeking a suitably qualified refrigeration mechanic with experience in providing technical advice on refrigeration services, including scheduled statutory maintenance on Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment. The successful applicant will have skills in using software programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel and a wiliness to learn software used by the Directorate. Demonstrated strong organisation skills, along with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail are essential to this role.
