A new opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Maintenance Supervisor to join our Darwin project team on roster. We are looking for an accomplished leader with a demonstrated ability to successfully motivate and support our Darwin team on site.  

The Role

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Provide leadership through instruction, information, training, and supervision to all Darwin site-based maintenance employees

• Liaise with the client onsite about breakdowns and scheduled repairs in conjunction with the relevant Branch Manager

• Allocate and schedule outstanding jobs and breakdowns, ensuring appropriate parts have been ordered

• Set up service jobs within Baseplan

• Ensure preventative maintenance is carried out on applicable plant

• Communicate with relevant OEMs regarding warranty issues

• Organise manning and rosters, advising Management if third party labour is required

• Ensure ongoing compliance with all WHS and HR policies and procedures

• Actively seek to improve the creation of business opportunities through building relationships and pursuing leads

The Person

An enthusiastic and self-motivated individual, you will possess the following attributes:

• Trade qualifications in heavy vehicle mechanics with a minimum of 5 years post trade experience

• Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role, preferably in an onsite environment

• A comprehensive knowledge of heavy plant, equipment, and components

• Sound ability in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook), SIS and ET

• Experience in Baseplan or alternative hire software

• Excellent organisational and time management skills

• Well-developed verbal/written communication skills

• Effective time management skills

• Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously

• A demonstrated commitment to safety

Meals and accommodation will be provided whilst on roster (2 weeks on and 1 week off).
