Tow Truck Driver

Accident Tow Truck Driver (Full-time)

We require a well presented, enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join our longstanding Accident Towing Service and Automotive Body and Paint Repair businesses located in Preston.

It is our companys intention to have the successful applicants primary concern being, to respond to accident scenes as fast as one can reasonably expect a person could do so safely and responsibly.  This means we do not expect drivers to constantly be in the process of performing tows during their working day unless they are already responding to an accident.  Outside of these times, drivers will usually be on standby while ensuring our facility is in good order to receive accident damaged vehicles, which may include the removal of a small number being stored.

This can only be achieved by a driver who is willing to cooperate with our management team and through being a team player with all staff members.

The key to being successful in this role is to remain valuable to the company at every opportunity.

  • Work volumes should not create stress or driver fatigue levels that would even remotely resemble what other drivers at other firms employed as tow truck drivers have expressed their experience to be.
  • Working on a roster system means a driver does not need to have their own means of transport to travel to and from work.
  • Our business structure provides opportunities for applicants to be recognised for the value they bring to our business and we will reward them accordingly. (Applicants with a trade qualification or experience in any industry our company participates and wants to maintain these skills should advise us of this as accommodating for this need may prove mutually beneficial. while those who don't fit this category need only advise us of their willingness to learn tasks valued by our organisation.)
  • The applicant wont be subjected to consistently spending their entire day within the business premises nor will the be subjected to consistent demands in meeting an unreasonable quota of tows to be performed.
  • Receive the necessary training and support a driver should reasonably expect.
  • Enjoy a high degree of job security our business offers based on a guaranteed allocation of work which has continued to increase year upon year as registered vehicle numbers in Victoria have respectively increased.
  • Drive a well maintained and fully equipped tow truck which is presentable and comfortable.
  • Advance yourself by sharing in our vast experience and knowledge we have to offer that relates to our industries.

We are only able to consider applicants who are able to meet the following requirements;

  • Must have a Medium Rigid vehicle driver licence.
  • Must be willing and able to work on a roster system outside their ordinary working hours.
  • Must reside in an area that that would allow them to safely respond to an accident within a time frame of approximately 20 minutes, which will generally have occurred in the Preston area and surrounding suburbs, including, however, not limited to Northcote, Thornbury, Reservoir, and Thomastown.
  • Must have or are prepared to apply to VicRoads (which we will assist applicants with) to obtain a Tow Truck  Driver Accreditation, which allows you to lawfully attend motor vehicle accidents allocated to a licensed accident tow truck.

If you can fulfil these requirements and these conditions suit you, dont miss this opportunity of us working together.
